The Jog for Justice is a fun, easy way to show your support for Lee County Legal Aid! LCLAS is a private, non-profit organization that provides free legal aid for low-to-moderate-income residents of Lee County. Established on March 27, 1967, LCLAS’ certified legal representatives act as counselors, community supporters and educational providers to those in need.
What does Lee County Legal Aid Society do?
LCLAS is a non-profit, community-based agency that focuses on assisting clients with limited income by providing quality legal representation while promoting financial and emotional stability. Through collaboration within the legal community, for-profit and non-profit agencies, Lee County’s most vulnerable citizens are positively affected through improved access to education and health services, leading to a greater quality of life.
The responsibility of the Lee County Legal Aid Society (LCLAS) is not just direct legal representation of clients-- but also to facilitate emotional needs, offer security for victims of domestic violence, protection for children and to foster/maintain relationships between parents and children. As a community agency, LCLAS impacts more than just the individual- immediate and extended families and their relationships are left strengthened and unified.
